SLEEPS UP TO 17 IN COMFORT
Combine the charm and intimacy of the Cottage/Carriage House with the luxurious style of the Taylor Manor to create your ultimate vacation getaway. Groups as small as 2 or as large as 16 can stay together conveniently and still find the entire Landmark Historic District at your feet! Walk to shops, restaurants, cafes, and museums, or stroll down to River Street and enjoy a cruise on the Savannah River. And an enjoyable morning or afternoon spent at Tybee Beach is only a short 20 minute drive away.
Sink into sound slumber each night on mattresses that define true comfort. They'll leave you refreshed and wishing you could take you bed home with you. (As numerous guests have requested! :) In addition, you'll find polished wood floors, marble, stone, tile, and soft leather decor combining to make your stay out of the ordinary when it comes to comfort and style.
Occupying adjacent lots, the former Carriage House to the Manor was renovated in 2001 using original "craftsman-style" technique and a second story was added making it a complete home in itself. Renamed, the Taylor Cottage, this roomy, 2 story detached home features its own private entrance off East Jones Lane while Taylor Manor fronts East Taylor Street. The rear courtyards of the two abutt the common driveway which essentially connects the two homes. Both homes offer shady, foliage filled, comfortably furnished courtyards that also offer charcoal grills for your use. The furnished Manor courtyard, with umbrella table and chairs, includes a bilevel deck with built-in bench seating. Meandering between the two courtyards is accomplished with ease yet each Courtyard retains its individuality and privacy. The Manor Courtyard has the deck off the kitchen that overlooks the furnished patio...and, best of all, the Hot Tub! Soak away the soreness from a day spent sightseeing surrounded by twinkling white lights and windowboxes filled with flowers and starry night skies....it's the total icing on the cake for your vacation! Not available with Cottage-only rentals

| Terrific accomodations and location
We spent Thanksgiving week at this well-appointed and comfortable rental. Both the manor and the carriage house were well-equipped, including cribs, the usual electronics, gobbles of kitchen equipment and more.
I think we were 14 and a dog, but would have been comfortable with two more. It was great to have a playground across the street (ballfields as well, but we didn't use them) and historic Savannah at our doorstep. Easy walking to a commercial area, and through beautiful squares! Groceries require a car, but it is not far and the store is a good one.
The property description is accurate, everything was in working order, and we enjoyed every minute of our week off!

| Rock n Roll Marathoners...this Estate ROCKED!
Thank you so much for allowing us crazy group of marathon runners to occupy the house.
The house was AWESOME and the home was everything we could have imagined and more for historic Savannah.
The Hot Tub felt AMAZING after the run! Will definitely keep you all in mind when we come back to Savannah to run again (or maybe relax) :) Thanks again!

| Our 22nd year Turner Girls Female Family Reunion -
Our youngest is 56 and the oldest 84. We loved the house and the Carriage House, or Cottage as you call it.
The older Aunts stayed in the C house and the young ones took over the Manor - worked well for all of us.
Your home made our visit to Savannah a Wonderful Time!
We are nicknaming our trip the Gravy, Grits and Ghost Tour!!!

| "The perfect place!"
My son is a us army Ranger stationed in Savannah Georgia, and met his beautiful bride there. When nuptials ensued, a large part of our extended family wanted to attend the blessed event. We have been cast apart over time, and decided to use the event to get together and spend some time with each other. The Taylor Estate fit the bill to a tee! Everyone, from my 10 year old nephew to my 85 year old father in law, had a great time, and had all their needs met. The Estate gave everyone the privacy they needed, but allowed us to spend great time together. it was extremely comfortable, tastefully furnished, and had a great location that allowed us to explore Savannah and environs. Initial supplies, with obligatory coffee, got us started, and local markets were identified and close, allowing us to feed the contingents. Restaurants in the locale were plentiful and great. My duties with my job(s) required internet access, which was supplied, high speed, and without "drops". Multiple people showering at once posed no problems with hot water or pressure, and having a washer and dryer available helped with limiting our baggage for the vacation. It was hot and humid when we arrived (go figure!), but the air conditioning turned the house into an oasis of coolness, with the weather rapidly turning to out favor. The book of "instructions" told us all we needed to know about the house, and gave us a lot of insights that allowed us to maximize our adventures throughout Savannah. Even parking for our 4 cars, normally a nightmare in a crowded urban environment, was easily handled with off-street parking. I would highly recommend the Taylor Estate to anyone who has a few days to kick back and enjoy the splendor of Savannah!

I love getting groups that are a blend of ages...those with both young children and even babies up thru Seniors! That's where the Estate shines! Between the Nintendo and board games/kid-friendly videos and books to keep the younger ones entertained to the discrete handicap-accessible Cottage with its Senior-friendly yet elegant grab bars and walk in shower & first floor bedroom....it's geared to meet the needs of everyone in your group. Plus, the ability to be "right next door" yet still able to "get away to be esconsed in your their own quiet privacy" has been the favorite comment I hear from the grandparents within family reunion groups ;)....so to hear you reinforce all this....PRICELESS! :) Marc and Patti Smith, California Oct 14, 2011 |
| We had a fantastic stay here in Savannah mostly due to your hospitality of providing our "home" away from home. It was very relaxing to return to after our very busy days on-the-go. We all had a very enjoyable time This is my 3rd trip here to Savannah with this one having the best accommodations by far. We want to thank you for being a part of our troop's memories!

Additional Comments( from the girls themselves):
This house is beautiful! I love everything about it! Savannah is just a beautiful city to live in/visit in. This is my 2nd trip here to Savannah and this house is wonderful, just like this wonderful city! Stay Golden, Alicia.
Well I'll start off saying your house is absolutely beautiful. You are a fantastic interior decorator :). I love the set up of the house. All us 5 teenagers stayed in the attic. It was fun to have privacy which we wouldn't have as much in a hotel. Your kitchen is AMAZING!!! Very roomy and I felt very at home here! Me and my Mom pretty much think this is our dream house. Thank you so much for sharing it with us! It made our stay in Savannah that much better! Sincerely, Jamie
Just wanted to let you know what wonderful time I had in Savannah with my daughter. We loved your home!! I would love to come back with some of my family and stay for a week. Thanks! Jamie's Mom, Dee.
I really enjoyed staying in this house. This is a beautiful house and makes me feel at home. I loved how the floors were set up. All the girls got to sleep together in the same room. The beds (well at least mine) were SO comfortable! I loved staying here. Thank you for sharing your house with us! Thanks again, Allie Troop #955.

| I was recently in Savannah on one of our annual "girls" trips. There were nine of us, and we had the main house as well as the carriage house. It was perfect. We were all very comfortable. We actually cooked in most nights and the kitchens were very well stocked and ready to use. It is a great location, we walked to most places. It was clean and quiet. These pictures don't lie. | I got together with several friends for a much needed getaway. Savannah Historic Hidaways Manor house was a perfect meeting place. The beautifully decorated manor was nice and clean and had everything we needed to make our stay there enjoyable. I would definately check into staying there again the next time we have a larger group gathering. Juanita Vainas April 2011 |
| "Awesome Girl Scout Trip to Savannah"
Our experience with the Taylor Estate was perfect from beginning to end! Our Girl Scout troop of 9 girls and 6 adults stayed in both manors for 3 nights and 4 days at the end of March 2011. The girls made a decision early in the planning process that they wanted to stay at a house in the historic district that everyone could stay together and would be close enough that we could walk to everything. This house was a perfect fit! The rooms were are very clean and decorated very tastefully. The girls loved the old fashioned bathtub on the 2nd floor and the favorite was the 3rd floor "attic" bedroom where we would all gather at the end of the day to wind-down and talk about our favorite part of each day. One night the girls even decided that instead of going on the planned Ghost Tour that they would rather "stay-in" and we ordered pizza, watched a movie together in the living room and the girls went up to the attic room and made up a skit and then came downstairs to the kitchen to perform it for the parents. All in all it was a great experience and I know our girls (and moms) will never forget our trip to Savannah or the memories made at the Taylor Estate!

Awwwww! I love reviews like this where I can remember my own girls and their friends doing the exact same thing!!! Yep, my husband and I and our 2 daughters, dog and cats used to live in the Manor before we decided back in 2007 to make the Manor and it's former Carriage House (renamed the Taylor Cottage since it's a 2 story complete home in itself)....a short term vacation rental (aka: the Taylor Estate!). So....your review brings back delightful memories and I believe the reason so many guests have their share of the same is due to the fact my decor and bedrooms and amenities were made from "first hand living in the homes myself"- experience. :) Jennifer and Dave Belawski March, 2011 |

| 5 couples in our family met in Savannah for Super Bowl weekend. The brothers, cousins, and wives had a wonderful time in your home. Taylor Estate is located close to the city's attractions we wanted to see. We ate out (thanks for the recommendations); we cooked in (great kitchen). We enjoyed having a place large enough to accommodate us all! The Elder Family Reunion:

| What a terrific respite this has been for the 12 "girls" from the class of 64 celebrating this year of our 60th birthdays. Superb bedding! So comfy and lucious! Great Kitchen and easy to find supplies. Loved the warmth of your decor and the beauty of it all. We found ourselves close to everything downtown and enjoyed not having to drive. And of course, we relished having such a large space to relax and get to know each other all over again. Blessings and continued success!

| My Girl Scout Troop came to Savannah and the Taylor Estate was PERFECT for the 18 of us. The creature comforts of the dishwasher, washing machine and dryer made life easy on a day to day basis. And Suzanne was so helpful anytime we called. I would and have already recommended the Taylor Estate to anyone visiting Savannah. Close to everything and our group felt right at home. Thank you Suzanne! The Taylor Estate was the icing on the cake for our trip! Becky Smith - Girl Scout Troop 3059 July 2010 |
| Thanks to Suzanne for a wonderful stay at the Taylor Estate!! I am part of a motor yacht crew, and all 11 of us really enjoyed our short but lovely stay on Taylor Street! The location was perfect, we could walk to everything downtown, the house was ammaculate and clean, and it had a very warm and hospitable feeling. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Hope to be back someday soon! Thanks again, MY Deniki Julia Campbell April 2010 |

| Amazing Stay in Savannah
D12 St Louis MO
Review Submitted: July 21, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
As we planned our stay in Savannah we looked into several options for lodging. With a large group (14) we wanted to all stay together. The house and cottage where just what we where looking for. It went beyond our expections. Being in a restored old home in Savannah made our stay even more memorable. I would recomend this house to anyone who is planning on visiting Savannah. Thank you for making our stay in Savannah great. Sandy Green July 21, 2009 |
| Wonderful Place to Stay in Savannah
If you want the total Savannah experience you cannot do better that staying with Suzanne in her lovely home!
My extended family came down to Savannah to attend a graduation ceremony. The entire estate was available and was extremely comfortable for our large group. For a couple or small family the tastefully decorated cottage is a great getaway or place for a romantic weekend. Suzanne is close by in their own home if needs arise, but the house is separate for the guests privacy. The house is several blocks from the river front, but it is on a quiet street with plenty of free parking which is a bonus in Savannah. Arrangements were easily made and the house was more than expected. I recommend it highly. Stephanie Middleton July 16, 2009 |
| We loved our family time in Savannah. Your home is perfect! We enjoyed the space and the location. If we ever have the opportunity to return we will certainly want to stay here again. Our daughter's wedding was wonderful! Such a perfect place for us to celebrate and prepare. God bless. George and Martha Phares and family

| You've got the southern hospitality thing perfected! What a great time we had. The Carriage House is terrific - a marvelous getaway! The Manor is beautifully restored, furnished and we found it convenient to everything. A favorite memory will be our evening walks along beautiful Savannah's historic streets. Congratulations on a job well done!

| We rented the Taylor Estate for a combined bachelor/bachelorette party. There were 12 of us, and we had plenty of room! The house was beautiful - every room is like a dream! I couldn't believe it when we got there - it was even better than I had imagined. We had a fabulous weekend - we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We enjoyed a night in the house playing board games, and a night on the town at City Market. We are definitely planning a trip back, and we will stay at Taylor Estate everytime we're in Savannah. Holly Peace August 15, 2008 |
| We loved our time in Savannah. Your home is perfect and we enjoyed the space and location. We were close to everything! Savannah Tours even came and picked up our group the front door. We enjoyed your historic district and going to Tybee Beach. We recommend eating at Mrs. Wilkes, The Pirate House, Clary's and The Firefly Cafe. Close by and the service and food were great. The photographer in our group especially loved walking about Forsythe Park, Bonneventure Cementary, and the riverfront. But the highpoint was simply sitting around during the evenings enjoying your courtyards (your chairs are terrific) & getting reacquainted with old friends. If we ever have an opportunity to return to Savannah, we will certainly check if your Estate is available. For a group as large as ours, it was perfect! So glad we found you!
