SLEEPS 6-10
Hardwood floors, high ceilings, stone, and marble combine to provide the ultimate in handsome style and serious comfort. Once past the marbled foyer, sunlight streams through tall windows into a living room resplendant with oversized mahogany tables and deep brown leather furnishings. Built-in floor to ceiling bookcases cradle between them a fireplace of pink marble which matches that in the entryhall. A 30-inch flatscreen TV/VCR/DVD beckons from the far corner. The open floorplan is conducive to fluid foot traffic and avoids the bottlenecking typical in older homes. Instead, each room on the first floor opens wide onto the others with pass-throughs, archways, and spacious airyness prominent throughout.
The Dining Room boasts a fireplace of black and gold marble with a mantle created from 400 year-old wooden beams.
From there, step into the huge, stone-tiled and oak kitchen. Warm and spacious, its quaker-esque ambiance is accentuated by modern appliances, handmade countertops of pine dating back over 400 years, high ceilings, and an antique oak dinette set with seating for four.
Three faux-french doors on the rear wall open onto a bi-level deck with a brick-rimmed patio encircled by foliage and white rock below. The charming landscape includes a small brick pathway leading to a wrought-iron arbor wrapped in roses. Outdoor iron furnishings consisting of an umbrella table and chairs along with built-in benches on the deck provide plenty of space for larger parties to enjoy our warm Savannah nights.
Upstairs on the second floor, choose from among any one of our three bedrooms, each flaunting a luxurious Queen-sized bed, to dream away the nights.
The lushly carpeted Master Bedroom is furnished in an Italian, Old World decor and features a private balcony, attached bath equipped with jetted tub, and a roomy, walk-in closet, as well as its own TV/VCR. You'll find it truly a refuge of privacy and handsome comfort.
Further down the polished wood hallway, two matching Queen-sized Bedrooms mirror one another with their quaint brick and mortar fireplaces, polished wooden-plank flooring, built-in mirrored closets, and iron furnishings. The charm and romance of the pink and white "Rosebud" room blends easily with the sterner, yet gracious decor of the black and white "Civil War" room with the latter paying gentle homage to the building of our home only a handful of years following the end of the War between the States.
Connecting the two bedrooms above are French Doors. Left open and you easily create a 2 bedroom suite. Leave them locked and you'll find a room of delightful privacy.
Open the door at the south end of the hall and find yourself soaked in sunlight as you enter a bathroom with a 5 foot long claw tub that doubles as a shower. The blue-speckled tile floor contrasts delightfully with countertops of sparkling white porcelein.
To ensure you'll find convenience throughout your stay, the north end of the hall discretely conceals a stackable Washer and Dryer behind a closet door.
The third floor will entrance the young at heart. It features an attic-design with low, slanted, ceilings that are fitted on both sides with dormir windors. Built-in window seats are brightly cushioned with green and blue plaid stripes. Hardwood pine floors stretch toward the wide closet which occupies most of the far wall. A writing desk, Nintendo GameCube, VCR, TV, & a footlocker filled with dress-up clothes occupy the corners of the room.
Bright, multicolored coverlets draw your attention to the antique, full-sized, iron bed resting opposite two twin beds in the center of the room.... and, as with all the bedrooms in the Taylor Manor, each features a luxurious, quality mattress to assure you of pleasant slumber. You'll find yourself smiling each time you return to this rainbow of color.

| We just returned from the Lady and Sons restaurant...a very good buffet. We walked our tootsies off all over town. The beaches at Tybee Island were clean and
the "big swim" at Beaufort was such fun to see. The visitors center was very helpful to us. We so enjoyed our stay in your lovely home! Thanks for sharing it with us. It was perfect for our family reunion. The Hirsts, Gail Turner, Gloria Carlyle, The Straits, Joanne and Family, The Gabrieles, and Victor, Ryan

| You have such a lovely house! It is decorated so beautifully. We couldn't believe all of the attention to detail from the plush towels to the sweet smelling soaps! We came for our sons SCAD graduation and we hope to stay with you again the next time we're in town. The Wilson family

| Thank you, Our stay in your home was a relaxing experience. The convenience made travel in your city a breeze! Your home is a treasure box, each room shared love and care throughout the house. The Manor has been made into a home...the walls say welcome; the chairs say sit down, take a seat, and relax; the kitchen says use me for your service. The work, the details of every room...absolutely Marvelous! Triple Thank You for allowing us to use your lovely home for our girlfriend's weekend getaway! Beautiful Home, Great Location, Loved it! | We came to Savannah to celebrate our son's wedding. Staying in your beautiful home added greatly to our wonderful Savannah memories. The location of the Manor was perfect. Your attention to detail and the comfortable furnishings made time spent at the house completely relaxing. During our "wedding downtime" when we weren't walking about the city, we enjoyed the board games...the kids loved the dress up box and Nintendo upstairs. Thank you so much for allowing us to share your home. We enjoyed your southern hospitality tremendously! Ed and Mackey Green (GA)

| Our Girl Scout troop came to Savannah and we thank you so much for making the experience one the girls will never forget...or their leaders! Such fun we had! We took the free cat shuttle all over the downtown and enjoyed mass at St John's Cathedral. The girls really had a ball at the beach. Having us all together in your big, beautiful home was fantastic...much better than a hotel. Your home was perfect and Savannah lived up to it's reputation for southern hospitality. We will recommend you over and over again!!! GS Troop 121, Fairbanks, AK

| A bunch of my girlfriends and I rented the house for a long weekend in October and we had a great time. The dining room, huge kitchen, outdoor patio and grill were perfect for dinners together. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us and everything was walking distance or a very short cab ride. It was the perfect house for us to have a reunion and many great memories were made here! We will definitely be coming back! Lindsey Messick

| pleasantly surprised.
For years my mother has wanted to get my sisters, my aunt and my cousin together for a girls weekend...It finally happened. We decided to rent a house, with a little hesitation on how well it would accomodate 7 "Alpha" women. To my surprise it was THE perfect venue for our get-together. It was so perfect that we only went out to eat once and preferred making our own meals and just hanging out in this wonderful home. The manor offered a large kitchen great living space, very comfortable beds and the location allowed us to walk just about everywhere. The owners were very accomodating and even gave us a basket of cheese and crackers as well as a nice bottle of wine...yum! Ann Walton October 21, 2009 |
| My stay at your home(It felt like I was at home) was great! The house had all the wonderful comforts of being at home. The rooms were decorated so beautiful and the beds were so comfortable. From the little touches of books to read and games to play to the huge comforts of televisions and dvd players, it made our trip to Savannah wonderful. The idea of having a complete kitchen with dishes and pans to having movies to watch, it was great. Thank you for having such an awesome place to stay within walking distance of so much of the city of Savannah. Pickel Ballwin, MO July 22,2009 |
| A group of 9 women chose to return to Savannah for our annual Sisterchicks getaway. I found this property on VRBO and it was perfect for our trip. We stayed in The Manor and enjoyed its comfy beds & pillows, the homey touches including throws and games, the well stocked kitchen and the large table in the dining room where we could all sit at one time! The Manor was decorated beautifully and it was fun to stay in a home built in the 1870s. We were very pleased and would highly recommend this property
