COTTAGE SLEEPS 4 - 6

Originally built in 1870 as a Carriage House for its 6400 sqft Manor behind it, the 1200 sqft Carriage House is a cozy yet spacious home in itself! You will find yourselves eager to return and reluctant to leave this two-storied, luxurious cottage. Charming window boxes bedeck the windows and stone gardens and brick pathways lead to the entrance. The decor's reminiscent of an italian villa. We take special pride in providing superb bedding and the mattresses are dreamy! We provide all you need from a fully stocked kitchen to fluffy towels. Sink into soft leather furnishings atop polished wood floors. Have meals in the roomy yet quaint kitchen with craftsman-style cabinets. 2 TV's/DVD/VCR, a large selection of books & videos, along with boardgames encourage relaxation following afternoons exploring the surrounding squares and cobblestoned streets of downtown. The shady flower-filled courtyard is perfect for grilling during the warm summer evenings. PRIVATE DRIVEWAY FOR TWO CARS. NON-SMOKING. PET-FRIENDLY. HYPO-ALLERGENIC. SENIOR-FRIENDLY w/first floor bath and bedroom. HANDICAP-ACCESSIBLE w/discrete grab-bars/walk-in & handheld shower in first floor bath. WIFI. Convenient location within the Landmark Historic District. Stroll among the squares or to the surrounding museums, shops, cafes, festivals at Forsyth Park or head down to River Street for an afternoon of fun.

Occupying the first floor is the LR, Kitchen, Laundry Room, Foyer, Queen Bedroom, and our striking stone-tiled bathroom with walk-in shower.

A wide, roomy staircase climbs to the second floor master suite where sunshine spills in from five floor to ceiling windows onto the Queen Bed and the charming Daybed and Trundlebed situated on opposing sides of the room. Spacious with a walk-in closet and attached bath with jetted tub, it still leaves ample room despite the addition of a 20inch flatscreen TV and small sitting area.

Back downstairs, you'll find Black and White photography by SuZann mixing with tapestries and oil paintings. The Living Room has overstuffed leather furnishings of the softest leather and a 32" flatscreen TV/DVD sitting atop a 1909 steamer trunk. Curtains pull back to reveal a laundry room off the foyer with full-sized W/D. The Kitchen was lovingly restored using only "Craftsman-Style" technique and the handmade cabinets, tiled counters, and antique kitchenette table with seating for up to six blend easily with the modern appliances required to the greatest in 21st century comfort.

The rear foyer of the Cottage has the Queen Bedroom off of it to the east and the bathroom and laundry area off of it to the west. The Foyer itself opens to a courtyard which surrounds you with flowers and shady foliage. Enjoy summer evenings sitting at its table and chairs or snuggle together in the wrought iron loveseat. A charcoal grill is also available for your use.

Older Seniors will enjoy the ease of entry via the rear foyer, walk-in shower & bath equipped with elegant grab bars, & the CH features a discreet ramp for handicap access (Camoflauged neatly).

Despite all the sights and sounds Savannah has to offer, you will find yourself reluctant to leave the luxury, convenience, and incredible comfort of this cozy and enchanting bungalow.

    Thank you for sharing your beautiful Carriage House with us! It was so nice and clean and comfortable for all of us. We had a fabulous time and enjoyed the beach and fireworks down on the riverfront. An excellent location and close proximity to both. We would love to come back and visit again!

    We had a lovely time staying here. The close proximity to Forsyth Park was very useful for our 2 year-old. The child friendliness of the house was much appreciated. As for recommendations: Fort Pulaski was great value and Tybee Island and the Crab Shack were also a hit!

    • Bringing non-preapproved pets onto premises (belonging to guest or member of guest party) will result in forfeiture of reservation and monies paid.
    • Last minute pet requests will be considered but must be submitted no later than 24 hrs prior to arrival or pet will be considered non-approved.
    CANCELLATION POLICY
    • $100 cancellation fee on all cancellations.

      Fee increases to $300 if you cancel within 30 - 60 days of arrival.

      Cancellations within 30 days of check-in forfeit all monies paid unless reservation is rescheduled or rebooked
